You’re A Poser

Yeah, I’m talking to you.
You’re a poser.
So am I.

We all are.

That polished version of yourself you bring to work…
That mask you wear in your marriage…
That highlight reel you post while your soul’s rotting…

It’s fake.

But it’s not entirely your fault.
You were born into a broken system.

You see, every man is infected with the same fatal flaw:
He failed to protect.
Adam stood by and watched Eve fail.
And every man since has repeated the same sin in his own way… by staying silent, playing it safe, and letting the world shape him into something smaller.

That’s how the poser was born.

I Built One Too

I built my poser under the guise of “strength”.
I made him look impressive, unstoppable, “on point.”

But the truth?
I was terrified.
Of being exposed.
Of being seen.
Of not being enough.

And if you’re honest… you know the feeling too.

You’ve spent years performing.
Smiling when you wanted to scream.
Succeeding just enough to keep the world clapping while you’re quietly dying inside.

You know how to win approval.
But you’ve forgotten how to be real.

The Poser Has to Die

He’ll never carry your legacy.
He’s not strong enough to lead your family.
He can’t protect the people you love when life punches them in the mouth.

Because he’s not you.
He’s a mask.
He’s the boy who was never taught how to bleed, fight, and rise again.

And the longer you keep him alive, the longer you delay the man you’re meant to be.

So Here’s What You Do

  1. Call Him Out
Catch him when he shows up. When you lie, when you puff your chest, when you play small. Speak the truth out loud: That’s not me. That’s the poser.
  2. Find the First Wound
The moment you stopped trusting your own voice. The moment you started performing. Go there. Feel it. And face it.
  3. Own Your Failure
You failed to lead. To speak. To protect. So did I. So did Adam. But that failure isn’t your identity, it’s your invitation to rise.
  4. Step into Brotherhood
Lone wolves die. Get around men who will call your bullshit, not coddle it. Find a place where your poser can’t survive.
  5. Kill Him Daily
The poser doesn’t die in one blow. He dies slowly, through discipline, truth, and fire. Every. Damn. Day.

Final Word

Brother, you weren’t made to perform like a trained monkey.
You were made to protect.
To fight.
To rise.
To lead.

But that starts by burning the mask and picking up the mission.

The poser you’ve built?
He doesn’t get to write your legacy.

You do.
And the world’s waiting on the real you to show the hell up.

Bury the fake.
Face the wound.
Live the truth.
Earn your name.
You’re not alone in this.

I’m still killing him too.
