What’s Your Price?

A question that I was asked many years ago… “can any man be bought?” I used to think the answer was yes. Of course a man can be bought. Every man has a price… right?

I was wrong. Surprise surprise, the older, and wiser I get the more I realize how very wrong I was about things when I was younger. I want to ask you a question… can YOU be bought? What is your price? Do you know? Have you even thought about it?

What if I told you that you may have already sold out? Every day that you lie to yourself, every time you go back on your word, every time you are dishonorable, you are selling yourself. Perhaps not in the monetary sense, but how bad is it that you are selling yourself and not even getting anything out of it!

The first step in becoming a man without a price is self-respect. Respect yourself enough to know when you are wrong, know when to fight, know when to yield, know when to stay quiet and also know when to plant your flag.

• Discipline
• Honor
• Courage

These are are the markers of a man who cannot be bought. Think about how easy it is to be average, how simple it is to let people walk all over you. How much less conflict there is when you hide your flag. I have bee told that is the new way to live. This I do not accept. For too many years I loved this way. Trying to stray away from conflict, people pleasing, trying to get everyone around me to like me. FUCK THAT.

Plant your flag. Respect yourself enough to walk away from people and things that don’t serve you. Stay true to your word. Get yourself uncomfortable. If you “fear it” do it. If it hurts and is uncomfortable, do it.

It is almost 2023. Now is the time to Re-create yourself.
