Is “The American Dream”…Dead?

What does the term “The American Dream” mean to you? 

-White picket fence? 

-Neighborhood kids playing ball in the streets?

-A farm or ranch? 

-A Family? 

-Success? 

So many of us have lost sight of and even have downright forgotten what it is we truly desire. 

The things I mentioned above are all disappearing… Its frightening to look around and see just how far we have fallen as a society and as individuals. 

• No more white picket fences… Your HOA won’t let you…
• Parents too afraid to let their kids play outside… Kids not wanting to do anything but look at screens. 
• Land is all but too expensive for the average American now. And propagandized as being “too hard” it’s “too hard” to own your own land. Not only that corporations and a few wealthy individuals are buying up all the land (Cough.. Bill Gate… Cough) Why would Ol Bill want to buy up all the ranch land in middle America if he doesn’t believe in traditional farming or animal husbandry??? Interesting indeed. 
• The traditional family unit is scoffed at these days as being unrealistic, and sometimes even a bad thing. It’s insane how propagandized single parenthood is. Yes… a single parent CAN raise good kids(my mother is a prime example) but would we have been better off with a solid full family unit… I think yes. 
• What does success even mean now? When I was a kid we strived to be astronauts, firemen, military men, working men… now the same question is asked of this generations kids… you know what the most common answer is? Internet influencer/ Youtube personality… Think about that for a second… The “you better go to school you don’t want to end up being a garbage man…” mentality is destroying the core of this nation… why? Garbage men make dam near 6 figures, they have great benefits, and they are doing something in support of society ad the community. Now I’m not saying that wanting to make art or do YouTube is bad… I myself have been in the blue collar life… I believe my calling is helping those around me and showing people they can do and have more fulfilling lives… the just have to EARN IT. 

So, is the American Dream dead? I don’t think so… I think we have just been brainwashed, distracted, taken advantage of, lied to, and manipulated into thinking that “owning nothing and doing nothing” will make us happy. 

Meanwhile we are more medicated, more unhealthy, more depressed and weaker as a human species than we ever have been before. 

We need to take a collective look in the mirror and bring back: 

• Personal responsibility 
• Community 
• Hard work 
• National pride 
• Respect

So I ask you again… What does “The American Dream” look like for you? 

Take some time to ponder this… and then ask yourself… WHAT’S STOPPING YOU? 

Every problem has a solution… and the funny part is… that solution usually starts with the characteristics I mentioned above. 

No more excuses.

Take charge or your body, your life and your destiny.
