Wealth

It wasn’t until I started giving up all of the material things that were holding me back that I learned what true wealth is.

Wealth is inspiration. Wealth is the access to your lifetime of experience and the ability to pass that along to the younger generation.

True wealth is being able to take something negative you have experienced and pass that along as a lesson or advice.

Advice from someone more experienced than you is priceless.

Sometimes we forget that the people who came before us have already been through the experience of what you are experiencing as a man or a woman of whatever age. I am 33. I forget that my older brothers have already felt what 33 feels like. I forget that their dad, who I would consider a father figure to me as well, has already been through his 20s, 30s, 40s… What we are experiencing as a collective might be new. Like the emergence of new technologies and all of that, but the individual experience of being 33… he’s seen it. lived through it and is now way further on in this journey of life. I think we need to ditch our ego and take advice from someone who has already done it.

So. If you’re younger than 33 and you are reading this, here is my advice to you;

Don’t worry. The things you think matter today, you will look back on in a few years and laugh. It is all just another step. Another page. another chapter. In this experience that we call life. Don’t get caught up in the material things. Money comes and goes. The one thing we can’t ever get back is THIS moment in time. Don’t ever take a second of this life or your health for granted but also don’t stress about the little things. Go out, make mistakes, take a risk, fall in love, do it all over again and live a life with no regrets. And remember…

True wealth, is experience.
